Who can apply

  • Nominees must be brilliant Indian or Indian-origin scientists or engineers working abroad, be below 40 years of age, hold a higher degree or equivalent such as a PhD in Science or Engineering, Master’s in Engineering or Technology, or MD in Medicine, have an outstanding research track record, and not hold a permanent, tenure-track or contractual position in an Indian institution at nomination. The fellowship must be hosted in India outside the institution where the nominee completed the doctorate.
