Questions about our data
How often are scholarship records re-checked?
Records are re-checked on a schedule that tightens as a deadline approaches: open cycles close to their closing date are checked most frequently, and dormant programmes least. Every opportunity page shows its own last-checked date and next planned review rather than a site-wide average.
What does source-checked mean?
It means the facts on the record were read from a page on the provider's own domain, and that page is linked from the record as evidence. It does not mean the provider has reviewed or endorsed the record, and it does not replace confirming details on the official site before you apply.
Why do some records show unknown fields?
Because the official source does not state them. Leaving a field marked unknown is more useful than filling it with generic application advice that applies to every scholarship, so records show exactly which facts are confirmed and which are not.
What happens when a deadline changes?
The change is recorded against the opportunity, the record's verification date updates, and anyone tracking that deadline is notified. Closed cycles keep their page and are linked from the programme page, which tracks the next expected round.
