Eligibility

Who can apply

  • Qualifying degree normally awarded within 10 years before application.
  • Contact the named supervisor and obtain supervisory support.
  • Standard HDR evidence includes IELTS Academic 7.0 overall with no band below 6.5, TOEFL iBT 94 with specified sub-score minima, PTE Academic 65 with specified sub-score minima, or approved alternatives/exemptions.
  • Apply to the advertised research project as a Master by Research applicant.
  • Where honours is the basis for admission, the research thesis/project must exceed 10,000 words and equal at least 50% of course credits.
  • Meet project-specific selection criteria.
  • For Master of Research, a recognised relevant bachelor's with honours of at least second-class lower standard with a minimum thesis component, or a coursework master's degree with a minimum thesis component.
  • Domestic and international applicants
  • Where coursework master's is the basis, the thesis must exceed 10,000 words and equal at least 25% of course credits.
