Eligibility

Who can apply

  • Provide evidence of an academic staff member agreeing to supervise the research.
  • Scholarship priority is given to applicants with high distinction-level achievement, research outputs and relevant professional experience.
  • Do not already hold a Research Doctorate, Research Masters, or equivalent research qualification when applying for a Masters by Research stipend.
  • International applicants
  • Must be or become primarily based at an RMIT Australian campus for the scholarship.
  • Submit EOI by 30 August 2026 for the international central round.
  • RMIT Credit is 60% or higher.
  • Relevant four-year bachelor's degree with honours and at least a credit average in the final year, with a research component of at least 25% of a full-time academic year, or equivalent qualifications/experience accepted by RMIT.
  • International applicants must meet the English-language requirement for the selected RMIT research programme by the scholarship closing date.
  • Apply for an RMIT Masters by Research programme.
  • Submit full application by 30 September 2026.
