Responsibilities
- Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will collaborate closely with the supervisor and core research team to advance AI-enabled Earth observation initiatives.
- Core responsibilities include: Conducting innovative research in remote sensing, geospatial AI, spatiotemporal data analytics, and related applications in climate and sustainability.
- Supporting the laboratory by performing other related research duties as assigned.
Qualifications and requirements
Qualifications
- Requirements Candidates must possess a degree in Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Science (GIS), Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Earth System Science, or a closely related discipline.
- Appointment levels will be determined by the following qualifications: Post-doctoral Fellow: Requires a Ph.D.
- along with a proven ability to conduct independent research and generate high-quality academic outputs.
- Senior Research Assistant: Requires a relevant Master's degree, postgraduate qualifications, or substantial equivalent research experience.
- Research Assistant: Requires a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
- Core Competencies: Technical Proficiency: Strong programming skills with advanced proficiency in Python.
- Communication: Excellent written and spoken English, paired with strong interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic, interdisciplinary research environment.
