Responsibilities
- Conduct doctoral research within the ERC GRID project.
- Build comparative or country-specific empirical evidence.
- Collect and analyse quantitative and/or qualitative data.
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present at conferences.
- Contribute approximately 10% teaching.
Qualifications and requirements
Qualifications
- Research Master's degree in Political Science or a closely related discipline, completed by the start date.
Requirements
- Strong research-design and methods training.
- Demonstrated quantitative analysis in R or Stata.
- Interest in political violence, displacement and state responses.
- Strong academic English.
Preferred qualifications
- Position 1: comparative-politics and quantitative-research experience.
- Position 2: Burundi or regional expertise and French-language skills are preferred.
